Police Investigating Pair Of Hit-And-Run Crashes

Sioux Falls

Police investigators are looking for suspects after a pair of vehicle crashes in Sioux Falls.

At around 10 p.m. Sunday, police were first called to the area of West 10th Street and Lyndale Avenue for reports of gunshots. But when officers arrived, they found evidence that two cars had crashed into each other.

Detectives said the loud noise reported by neighbors may have been caused by a crash. No signs of gunshots were found at the scene.

Later, a second vehicle crashed into a light pole near West Madison Street and North Ebenezer Avenue. The driver ditched the vehicle and ran from the area.

Police are expected to release more information at a 10:30 a.m. briefing with local media.
