Facebook posts warning about door-to-door book sales have a lot of people on edge.
We've received numerous emails and phone calls in the newsroom. And today police in Watertown responded to the online claims in an effort to ease fears.
The posts warn that the salespeople are preying on children, but authorities do not believe that is the case.
They're with a company known as Southwestern Advantage.
A spokesperson with the company says it hires thousands of college students and many of the sales people are from other countries and have come to the U.S. to learn about sales.
While the company may be legitimate, Police say you should always be cautious before letting any stranger into your home.
