Police: Argument At House Party Led To Shooting In West Sioux Falls

Sioux Falls

The investigation continues into what led someone to shoot a gun at a home near 49th Street and Terry Avenue on Saturday night.

Police were called to a home west of 49th Street and Terry Avenue just before midnight after someone heard a gunshot. By the time officers arrived, everyone had ran from the scene — including the person who was shot. At some point on Sunday morning, a man arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the foot.

On Monday, Capt. Loren McManus said that detectives think an argument started at a large house party and a gun was fired once.

The injuries to the man's foot were non-life threatening, McManus said. No arrests have been made at this point.
