Parole Absconder Back In Custody

Department of Corrections says a parole absconder is back in custody.

Richie Desera had a warrant out for his arrest after he failed to report to the Sioux Falls Community Work Center on July 11. He was paroled to the Community Transition Program on May 24, 2017.

His parole supervision required him to wear a GPS device. The DOC said Desera removed his GPS device.

Desera was originally sentenced to ten years in prison for a second-degree burglary conviction.
