Officials Warn Motorists Not To Drive Around Barricades

Pierre, SD

Officials are warning those that drive around barricades on closed sections of highways is dangerous for drivers.

A road that has been closed due to flooding may look drivable on the surface but the roadbed may have been damaged making the road unsafe.

Tampering with signs, barricades or any other traffic control device is against the law as is driving around a barricade.
