Man Who Tried To Stop Fight Is Stabbed

Sioux Falls, SD

A man who apparently tried to break up a fight ended up in the hospital with a knife wound.

Sioux Falls Police responded to Bigs Sports Bar & Billiards on West 12th Street for a stabbing.  According to authorities, two men got into an argument inside of the bar and then went outside.  Another man got in between the two men fighting and then the suspect stabbed him near his arm.

Police arrested 37-year-old Larry Moss, who now faces an aggravated assault charge.

"The officers estimate there were 40 to 50 people outside and most people were pretty upset about it.  It can be pretty difficult to get things calmed down to the point where you can figure out what's going on," Clemens said.

Moss will be in court Friday.

The victim was taken to the hospital for surgery.

This isn't the first time this bar has been in the news.  In April, police reported an 80-person fight after a concert.
