Owners of a popular Black Hills ski resort are looking at a tentative opening date of Dec. 1.
Recent warm temperatures at Terry Peak have put the snowmakers on hold, but the owners of the Lead resort say they'll be ready to restart the machines as soon as the weather cooperates.
Terry Peak typically hopes to open the day after Thanksgiving.
The resort was open 111 days during the 2011-2012 season, as more than 122 inches of snow covered the mountain from December to early April.
The resort's highest summit stands at 7,076 feet.
