Lantry Man Sentenced For Involuntary Manslaughter

Pierre, SD

A Lantry man has been sentenced in federal court for a car crash nearly two years ago that killed a passenger in his vehicle.

Twenty-year-old Charg Hebb was sentenced to a year and a day in prison, to be followed by two years of supervised release.

Hebb was accused of speeding and driving recklessly on the wrong side of the road on the Cheyenne River Sioux Indian Reservation on Oct. 12, 2012, causing a head-on crash that killed Arleigh McLellan.

U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says Hebb pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter last April.
