It was nothing but net for many young basketball players on Saturday competing in the annual Knights of Columbus free throw championship.
Boys and girls ages ten to 14 showed off their free throw skills at O'Gorman High School. They were trying to make 15 shots in a row.
The winners of each division will move on to the district competition next month.
And although it's not a full on basketball game, the event is very important.
"If you aren't so good at your free throw, this is a great time to practice and have some competition. So, it's basically like a game and you are playing against people you age. And then when you play against people your age, you have a little bit more experience," 12-year-old Courtney Baruth said.
Each player was rewarded at the end of the competition with pizza and free admission to a varsity basketball game.
