KELOLAND Television has earned a prestigious regional Edward R. Murrow Award for its website KELOLAND.com. The website was recognized as the 2017 RTDNA Regional Murrow Award winner in the Small Market Television Website category. KELOLAND.com was completely redesigned in 2016 to provide a better user experience.

KELOLAND TV was also awarded five honors for journalism at the recent Midwest Broadcast Journalism Association’s awards banquet in Minneapolis. The MBJA cited KELOLAND TV for excellence in general reporting, spot news, hard feature, multimedia storytelling and investigative reporting.

The Radio Television Digital News Association has been honoring outstanding achievements in electronic journalism with the Edward R. Murrow Awards since 1971.
Award recipients demonstrate the spirit of excellence that Murrow set as a standard for the profession of electronic journalism.
The Eric Sevareid Awards are named for the North Dakota-born and University of Minnesota-educated journalist best known for his work as a correspondent for CBS Radio and Television. Each year, the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association presents awards to the best work done by broadcast news operations and journalists working in small, medium and large markets in a six-state region on radio, television and online.
