Nine pages outline the criminal background report for Joseph Patterson. In addition to several traffic violations, Patterson has served time in jail for assault.
According to the report, a June 2012 arrest in Lincoln County brought a long list of charges. Patterson pleaded guilty to simple assault three months later and spent five days in jail.
Patterson also spent time in jail related to a January 2010 arrest for several traffic violations. He pleaded guilty to eluding officers and was sentenced to eight days in jail.
Patterson's most recent arrest prior to this week was for violating the conditions of his bond. He again pleaded guilty and had all 360 days of his jail sentence suspended.
Patterson's first run in with the law came at just 14 years old when he was stopped for driving without a license.
