Iowa Woman Died In Two-Vehicle Crash

A passenger in the Dodge Charger was incorrectly identified.

Authorities in Iowa have released the name of a woman who died in a crash Friday night.

51-year-old Susan R. Bliek, of Rock Valley, died in a two-vehicle crash near Inwood, Iowa. No charges have been filed at this time.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., Bliek was driving southbound on Highway 182 in a 2004 Dodge Caravan. 18-year-old Jacob Kennet, of Le Mars, was westbound on County Road A34 two miles north of Inwood. According to Iowa State Patrol, Kennet was driving a 2008 Dodge Charger, ran a stop sign and struck the Dodge Caravan. Bliek was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the Dodge Charger, 24-year-old Timothy Farmer Jr., of George, was taken by helicopter to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Kennet was transported by private vehicle to Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley. Both vehicles sustained approximately $8,000 in damages.
