As part of the effort, Interstate 29 will be closed at noon today between exit 4 to exit 26, an area between North Sioux City and Vermillion. Water from the Big Sioux River will be diverted to McCook Lake underneath the exit 4 overpass. Crews will build a temporary levee to connect the two bodies of water.
