Interstate 90 between Wall and Chamberlain is closed to drivers due to the winter storm moving across South Dakota.
State officials say falling snow and strong winds have created snow-packed and slippery roads. Those conditions, along with heavy drifting and near-zero visibility, make travel dangerous at this time.
As the storm moves across the state, more snow and strong winds are expected. The state warns additional road closures are likely.
Because travel will be difficult to impossible at times, drivers are asked to stay put and stay off the roads.
