It's an annual celebration that indicates fall is right around the corner. Yet summer-like temperatures made it ideal for this weekend.
This year's Apple Festival brought out hundreds to Harrisburg.
And while organizers credit the nice weather, they also say tradition keeps the orchard filled to capacity.
“All the families come back that have grown up. A lot of them come out here for field trips when they were young and now they're bringing their children. So, we see a lot of people that come out that we know, families. It's nice to see everyone come out and have a good time,” Nancy Olson with the Apple Festival said.
The highlight of the festival was the horse-drawn wagon rides, which lead people out to the orchards.
This year's festival also had something new, a new food shack.
Even though the festival is wrapping up, the orchard is open every day for the near future.
