Fundraiser Held For Casey Underberg And Family

Tea, SD

Casey Underberg continues to deal with setbacks in his battle with Leber's Disease, but he's not in the fight alone.

Today in Tea there was a fundraiser for the Underberg family. Friends and family donated items for silent and live auctions, with the money going to help the family and their medical bills. Underberg recently went to Iowa City, where he found out that his vision has worsen and the technology isn't there to properly treat the disease. Even though the news is bad, Underberg says he gets strength from the support of his loved ones.

"There's been many times where I could let it get the best of me and stuff like that and I haven't really. I try and stay positive, you try to stay moving forward, enjoy the things you can enjoy," Casey Underberg said.
