Food Safety After A Flood

As people start cleaning up their homes following severe flooding, there are steps to take when it comes to food.

SDSU's Extension Food Safety Field Specialist Lavonne Meyer advises throwing out any food that is not in waterproof containers.

Food in all-metal cans can be kept but you'll need to remove the labels and thoroughly wash the cans.
