Escaped Wyoming Honor Camp Inmate Caught

Authorities say an inmate who escaped from the Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp in Newcastle earlier this week has been captured.

The Wyoming Department of Corrections says 24-year-old James Friesen was apprehended Wednesday night by a Weston County sheriff's deputy in Pennington County, South Dakota.

Authorities say Friesen was found missing on Monday.

Friesen was sentenced in 2011 to three to five years for forgery.

The Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp is a minimum security facility.

The Corrections Department says it's conducting an internal investigation into Friesen's escape.
