Driver Identified In Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash Near Doland

Spink County

A 66-year-old man from Lake Preston died in a single-vehicle crash in Spink County last week.

Just after 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Darwin Tvinnereim was driving a 2002 Ford Expedition north on State Highway 37 near Doland when his vehicle left the road and rolled. The South Dakota Highway Patrol said he wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. The Highway Patrol was assisted by the Spink County Sheriff's Office, Conde Ambulance, Conde Fire and Rescue, Turton First Responders, and Doland Fire Department.
