Defense: Driver In Deadly Crash Has Seizure Disorder

The defense attorney for a 47-year-old driver charged with hitting and killing a pedestrian Sunday night says the woman suffers from a seizure disorder.

Lois Two Bulls appeared in court Monday afternoon for manslaughter.

Authorities say Two Bulls drove through the Salvation Army lot during a car show and then hit three pedestrians on the other side of the street.  The crash killed a 43-year-old Sioux Falls woman and sent 13-year-old Skyler Burchardi to the hospital.

Burchardi was scheduled to have surgery on his broken jaw Monday afternoon; he also has a broken pelvis and a concussion.

Two Bulls didn't have a driver's license or insurance and is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.

Police are doing tests to figure out if drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.
