It's been a week since Corsica and other area towns were hit with a devastating storm. The community is trying to clean up, but there is still a lot of work left.
A week ago this park was full of heavy machinery as the city of Corsica tried to pick up the numerous trees and branches that fell during the devastating storm. Seven days later, the damage from that storm is almost gone.
Residents of the small community say the city's workers did a great job of cleaning up. They were also happy that the city's rubble site was open for free for storm-damaged trees twice this week.
There is still some signs of the strong winds and hail that ripped through the community, including this baseball field that was destroyed.
After a week to reflect, most homeowners say they consider themselves lucky.
We will have more from the cleanup in Corsica coming up tonight on KELOLAND Weekend News at 10.
