Burglar Takes Truck, Trailer And Tools From Local Businesses

A north Sioux Falls business owner is taking inventory after a burglary earlier this week.

Monday night, a man broke into Allegiant Emergency Services and Justice Fire & Safety. After hooking up a trailer to one of the business's trucks, he took off with up to $50,000 worth of money and tools. Owner Mark Brenneman says it's scary how efficient the burglar was during the crime.

"Were very specific on what they were looking for, checks and checkbooks. Left computers. Took tools and stuff that they could easily sell," Brenneman said.

Sioux Falls Police found the trailer near Benson road south of the humane society. Officers found the truck at Smithfield Foods. Neither were damaged. If you have any information on the suspect, call police.
