A man who raised a family in South Dakota after charges against him were dismissed in the 1996 killing of Geraldine veterinarian Bryan Rein returned to Chouteau County court Monday to be arraigned again in a case resurrected by the Montana Attorney General's Office.
Thomas Jaraczeski pleaded not guilty Monday after being presented with charging documents.
Jaraczeski is temporarily represented by a public defender.
Jaraczeski was first charged in 1998 with killing Bryan Rein of Geraldine. The charges were dropped after a judge ruled that certain evidence could not be used against him.
Rein was shot three times in his trailer home in 1996. Prosecutors allege Jaraczeski was jealous and became obsessed after his ex-girlfriend broke up with him and began seeing Rein.
