Bicyclist Injured In SUV Versus Bike Crash

Sioux Falls, SD

A bicyclist suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a SUV vs. bike crash early today.

Sioux Falls Police reported that at approximately 7 a.m., a Chevrolet SUV was attempting to leave a parking lot in the 2600 block of Minnesota Avenue.

A bicyclist was traveling northbound on the sidewalk and the SUV drove into the bicyclist's path. The bicyclist struck the right front quarter panel of the SUV. The SUV then came to a stop in the right southbound lane.

The driver of the SUV was cited for failure to yield from a private drive. The bicyclist was transfered to Sanford Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Police have not released names at this time.
