134th Turner Co. Fair Kicks Off Monday

Turner County, SD

Since 1880, the Turner County Fair has been a staple for many families, and this year will be no different. It begins Monday, and features a lineup of events for the whole family, ranging from a Bid Calling Contest Monday night to the popular Demo Derby and Fireworks Thursday night.

Various musical acts from the region will entertain all ages for free at the Freedom Stage in Heritage Park. While in Heritage Park, browse the old time village with a general store, old schoolhouse, church and more. Plus visit Old McDonald's Farm and check out all of the exhibits Turner County 4-Hers have been working on all year long. And don't miss all the fantastic food the fair as to offer from homemade pies, homemade ice cream, Indian Tacos, Lamb Chislic and much more.

The Turner County Fair in Parker, SD runs August 11-14, with a special free Barbeque Sunday night from 4-6 p.m. Free Parking & Free Gate
