13 Year Old Cited In Sioux Falls Crash

Sioux Falls, SD

Sioux Falls police are investigating a serious crash involving an underage driver.

Police say a 13-year old boy crashed into a motorcycle on Sunday night.

It happened on Lasalle Avenue and East 6th Street, which is just a few blocks from Washington High School.

The victim, 37-year-old Jason Rollings, went to the hospital by ambulance for serious leg injuries.  At the time, the injuries were believed to be serious but not life threatening.  Police now say that Rollings developed complications as a result of the crash and passed away Tuesday evening.

There is no word on why the young boy was driving.  The teenager was cited for no license, reckless driving and failure to yield.
