Inside KELOLAND: Red Cross Volunteers & Sanford Studies

Sioux Falls, SD

Two local Red Cross volunteers, just back from helping the victims of Hurricane Harvey, share their stories on this Inside KELOLAND.  We'll also find out what kind of help is still needed following recent storms.

Sanford Research is taking an even closer look at the region's tiniest babies. It's one of 15 sites in the U.S. that make up the Neonatal Research Network.  We'll sit down with one of the researchers to find out what it means for local families.

Nearly a decade ago, expectant mothers allowed Sanford researchers to track their pregnancies and follow their babies through their first year.  Thanks to a new grant, Safe Passage is expanding.  We'll look back at the original study, and we'll find out what researchers hope to learn as the same children go through adolescence.
