Dell Rapids, SD
It's an important conversation that every parent should have with their child. We're talking about suicide.
In the Dell Rapids Middle School commons Monday evening, two local parents who've lost a child to suicide will share their story. The school district superintendent says she wants parents to see the signs before anything happens.
"They might be seeing some things that they think are just kids being kids or teenagers being teenagers. So we're hoping to provide some of those symptoms and also where to get help," Superintendent Summer Schultz said.
The two presenters talked with students earlier on Monday, so now it is their parents turn.
We'll have more from the conversation on KELOLAND News at 10.
