Soon extravagant floats and spirited marching bands will fill the streets in Pasadena for the Rose Bowl Parade.
A lucky few get the chance to participate in the annual event, and this year two bands for KELOLAND made the cut: the MOC-Floyd Valley from Orange City, IA and the Lincoln High School Band from Sioux Falls.
The Lincoln High School Band took a 35-hour bus ride to California. They've already participated in the Bandfest, the Disney Parade and the Rose Bowl Dignitary Breakfast.
Students say some of the highlights of the trip include playing in a 45-second extra feature Tuesday during the parade.
Lincoln High School Band Director Bob Carlson spoke with us live on Midday in KELOLAND. Click on the video player to watch.
