The Dean of Agriculture and Biological Sciences at South Dakota State University is getting a new position.
The state Board of Regents has appointed Barry Dunn to be the school's next president.
Dunn received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from SDSU in May 1975. He got his Masters in July 1977 and Doctor of Philosophy in Animal Science in December 2000.
Current President David Chicoine is set to leave the post around July, at the latest. He has been president since 2007. Chicoine is going to teach in SDSU's economics department. Read letter from Dr. Dunn
