With the start of the academic year just around the corner, parents and children are starting to cross off items on the back to school list.
For many families, the start of a new school year is an expensive time, buying new backpacks, clothes, and of course supplies like pencils and notebooks.
But even despite the cost, some parents, like Ted Braaten, are staying optimistic about the end of summer shopping list. He says the sales that many stores have help to alleviate some of the back to school expense for his son, Brady.
“It works out alright. We make everything work, and he gets what he needs and gets a good education, that's all we're worried about,” parent Ted Braaten said.
Along with parents buying supplies for their kids, there are also people purchasing various back to school items to donate.
