For the past 14 years, KELOLAND Television has been proud of our commitment to public service through our “Tradition of Caring” program. KELOLAND TV’s “Tradition of Caring” program began in 1998 as a unique public service effort that involved every employee at the station. It was created to concentrate on local causes and to have a real impact. In August 2000 KELOLAND TV won a National Emmy for the “Tradition of Caring” campaign. This was truly an award for the entire station since each employee took part in making the “Tradition of Caring” spots. Over these 14 years, we have done spots supporting at least 134 organizations in over 20 communities. We are now entering a new era that will make our TOC Program even more meaningful in the future. We have now partnered with Avera Health System for “The Avera Tradition of Caring in KELOLAND”. Now both great organizations will be working together in meeting the core goal of helping others in the community.
