In Today's Kindness (yes, another new feature), Mary Jo Nemec of Holabird
sends an update about the fundraiser held in
Highmore in November to help eight year old
quadriplegic Jacob Moser get a new,
handicapped accessible room.
This was part of our
Mt. Blogmore/Take It Outside Second Annual Pheasant Hunt at the Nemec's. Senator and Mrs. Tim Johnson and some of their grandchildren also attended the event.
Anyway, there's good news from Mary Jo:
Just wanted to update you on the progress being made for Jacob's room. They were pouring the cement for the foundation this morning when I left work and the plumbing is in too. We have a contractor working on it.
They also ended up getting quite a bit of free contracting work, so that's also helped to speed things along.
And thanks to the good folks of Highmore and
Hyde County and the Nemecs who helped to make this little boy's life better.
