On Friday, June 12 at 9:30 a.m. CST, KELO-TV will transition from an analog broadcast to a completely-digital broadcast.  But if you aren't prepared, there are still ways to get ready for the big switch.

If you watch television using an antenna and don't have a digital TV or converter box, you'll have to take some steps to continuing watching broadcast TV.
  • You can start with our DTV web page on KELOLAND.com.
  • If you're looking for a DTV converter box and want a coupon, click on the government's converter box Web site, dtv2009.gov. There are still coupons available, but the Web site warns that it can take up to nine days to receive your voucher.
  • To find out where you can buy a converter box, go to "DTV links"  on the left-side of our DTV page and click on "digital converter box retailers."
  • In many cases, the antenna you already use will be able to receive our signal, but if you're not sure, click on the link for Antennaweb.org. That's where you can plug in your address and the site will tell you what type of antenna you may need.
If you have any issues with reception, we've included other links to help you move along smoothly.

KELOLAND News will also answer questions submitted by our viewers. If you have any questions, e-mail them to the address below.
