KELOLAND TV will complete the DTV transition on the national DTV transition date of Friday, June 12, 2009. KELOLAND TV will turn off its analog transmitters at 9:30 am CT/8:30 am MT on June 12. After 9:30 am CT/8:30 am MT on June 12, KELOLAND TV will only broadcast a digital signal.

Viewers who receive KELOLAND TV’s signal over the air with an antenna should rescan for channels on their digital TV or converter box after the transition. Even if you receive KELOLAND TV’s digital signal now, you will need to rescan to continue to receive the digital signal.

Viewers in the Sioux Falls area should rescan because KELO’s digital signal is switching from UHF to VHF. Your antenna TV will not find the VHF frequency unless you rescan for channels.

Viewers in the Aberdeen and Watertown area should rescan to find KDLO’s digital signal on channel 3.1. KDLO’s digital signal has not been on since January 2009.

Viewers who receive all of their television programming through cable or satellite service will not be affected by the transition.

If viewers are having trouble receiving our digital signal after the transition on June 12, help is available. The FCC has 24-hour assistance at 1-888-CALLFCC. Or viewers can find helpful information at www.dtv.gov. KELOLAND TV will have assistance available at 605-336-1100.
