Yankton Man Faces Murder Charge In October Death

YANKTON, SD -
A Yankton man has been indicted on a second-degree murder charge in the death earlier this fall of another man from the city.
Fifty-seven-year-old Darwin Jans is accused of assaulting 59-year-old Larry Goodman on Sept. 19. Goodman died Oct. 6 of what an autopsy concluded was a head injury.
Jans remains jailed on a $100,000 cash-only bond. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney. He faces life in prison if convicted.
