The Lewis & Clark Specialty Hospital of Yankton has cut the ribbon on an addition of more than 26,000 square feet.
The center was founded in 2002 by area physicians with a mission of providing quality surgical care in a comfortable and family-oriented environment.
Administrator Michelle J. Weidner-Jordan says that the hospital started with approximately 25 employees and now has about 70, three-quarters of whom are full-time.
Weidner-Jordan calls it a "one-stop shop," with full-service imaging in the hospital and a full-service lab in the office building.
The hospital celebrated its 10th anniversary on Thursday.
