One Dead In Two-Vehicle Crash Near Watertown

One person is dead in a two vehicle crash about ten miles west of Watertown on Friday.

Authorities say a 2001 Chevy Cavalier was going east on Highway 212 and crossed the center lane. The vehicle collided with a 1992 Mack Truck that was going west.

The driver of the Cavalier received fatal injuries and a three-year-old passenger was uninjured. The driver of the truck was also uninjured.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

Names are being withheld until families have been notified.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating.
