USD students are still unable to return to their dorm after a broken water pipe Monday night.
The school will pay for a third night of lodging for the students at hotels in Vermillion. Tuesday night, 280 students stayed in local hotels, compared to 160 the night before.
Crews are still working to restore power to Coyote Village, but university officials say they are making progress. The university says the pipe has been replaced and repairs are being made to fix electrical components damaged by water.
The 500 residents of Coyote Village have access to their rooms until 5 p.m. if they need to retrieve clothing or anything else.
The university is paying for the rooms and providing food to the displaced students.
