The city of Vermillion has a new fire chief.
Richard Shannon Draper will begin his duties later this month.
Draper replaces Doug Brunick, who retired after more than 30 years of service.
Draper has more than 25 years of service in volunteer, public and military departments in Missouri, Pennsylvania, Kosovo and Hungary. The department says he recently spoke in South Korea about advanced leadership skills for fire service chief officers.
