Wednesdays standoff is far from David Neuroth Junior's first run in with police.
Neuroth's criminal record is 15 pages long with charges dating back to 1995. He's been in court on a variety of charges from drunk driving to assaults.
Before barricading himself inside this quiet Northern Heights neighborhood today, David Jeremy Neuroth, Jr., already had a busy week with law enforcement.
Early Monday morning, Neuroth was arrested and charged with three counts of domestic abuse, according to Minnehaha County records obtained by KELOLAND News.
On Tuesday, Neuroth was in court pleading guilty to two traffic-related offences. Later that night, he's suspected of breaking into a home on 9th Avenue with a gun.
The people inside the house say they recognized him before locking themselves inside a bathroom to call police.
But that was far from Neuroth's first burglary, according to court papers.
He was sentenced to a suspended five year sentence in June 2010 after taking a plea deal for third degree burglary, where he was also charged with burglary, assault, resisting arrest and being a habitual offender for having prior felonies.
Neuroth's criminal past also includes drug and alcohol charges stemming as far back as 1996.
