Artists Help Feed The Hungry

Artists Help Feed The Hungry
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Some South Dakota artists help feed the hungry this holiday season.

Artists work is on display at the bi-annual 'Artists Against Hunger' event in downtown Sioux Falls, attracting many people to the 8th and Railroad shopping center.

The event raises money and food donations for Feeding South Dakota.

Artist mediums ranged from paintings to pottery. Event organizers say while it's a great time to display their work, it's also a great time to give back.

"I like that fact that we are able to really make a good contribution to Feeding South Dakota. That's what it's all about. That's why all our artists show up here. That's why they go through all the work that they do," event organizer Greg Denotter said.

And when Denotter came up with the idea four-and-a-half years ago, he said only 12 artists participated. This year around 50 artists are set up on all three floors of the shopping center
