SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Another robbery in Sioux Falls early Sunday morning is believed to be connected to a recent string of thefts across town.

The Gas Stop on East 26th Street was robbed at 3:30 a.m. by a man wearing a red bandana over his face, matching the description of several other robberies over the past month.

"The general physical description: a black male, in the 6"- 6"1' range.  Similar clothing descriptions, there are some slight differences but as more of these occur that's not terribly uncommon for slight variances," Lt. Matt Burns said.

Several other robberies are believed to be connected to the Gas Stop theft.  That includes those carried out on December 6, 7, 25 and most recently, December 30.

Lt. Burns says even though there are strong similarities, the connection between them has not yet been confirmed.

"No direct link has been made as of yet. Detectives continue to work that," Burns said.

While they do have officers covering the investigation, they still ask for the public's help in cracking the case.

"Having worked some of these cases myself in the past, I do feel strongly that there is someone in Sioux Falls that likely has information regarding the identity of this suspect. We just ask that you help us out, help out your fellow citizens, and give us a call. It's time for these to come to an end," said Lt. Burns.

If you have any information about these thefts, you can call the Sioux Falls Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 367-7007.
