Suspicious Toddler Death Investigation In Sioux Falls
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Sioux Falls authorities are calling the recent death of a toddler suspicious.

Police were called to a home on South Sycamore Avenue on Monday for an 18-month-old toddler that wasn’t breathing and didn’t have a pulse.

Rescue efforts were initiated, the child regained a heartbeat and was taken to Avera McKennnan hospital to undergo medical treatment and evaluation.

Law Enforcement was notified Tuesday that the child had died and there were some suspicious medical findings.

An autopsy carried out Wednesday also resulted in findings that were suspicious in nature, which initiated a criminal investigation by police.

Sioux Falls police say they are interviewing people connected to the incident.
