More Details Released On Death At Detox Center

Authorities have released more details in the death of a woman who died at the Minnehaha County Detox Center.

On Sunday, Police were called to the 5900 block of Owl Place where a 48-year-old woman was threatening to harm herself. She had been drinking a combination of rubbing alcohol and whiskey.

The woman was transported to the Minnehaha County Detox Center after police made contact with her inside the home.

She died Sunday night shortly after being admitted to the center. Her name is not being released.

An autopsy was completed on Monday.

The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s department is continuing to investigate the death.
