The owner of a pellet gun authorities say was used in an exchange of gunfire with Rapid City police during a March crime spree has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Twenty-one-year-old Matthew Wright was one of five Rapid City men police say robbed two convenience stores, burglarized two homes and led officers on a chase through city streets. Officers returned fire during the chase with a shotgun.
Wright will have to serve more than nine years behind bars before being eligible for parole.
One of the suspects was sentenced earlier to 10 years in prison. The other three are to be sentenced next month.
