Rapid City police say new footprints in fresh snow helped officers catch a teen car burglar early Christmas morning.
An officer on the call found tracks circling one vehicle and followed the footprints to several other vehicles. The trail ended when a 16-year-old boy was found rummaging through a vehicle.
Police say the teen had several items in his possession that were believed to be stolen. He was arrested for car burglary and underage alcohol consumption.
