The U.S. Forest Service says a 21-acre forest fire is burning near Victoria Lake in South Dakota's Black Hills.
Forest Service spokesman Scott Jacobson says the fire was spotted about 4 a.m. Sunday, but was about 40 percent contained by noon.
Jacobson says the fire is producing a lot of smoke.
He says volunteer fire departments and the South Dakota Wildland Fire Suppression Division are helping the Forest Service fight the fire.
Jacobson says the cause of the fire is unknown.
