Rapid City Airport Getting $6 Million Water Line

RAPID CITY, SD -

Construction has begun on a $6 million, 6-mile water line to the Rapid City airport.

The pipeline will enable the airport to meet fire suppression standards, and also create an opportunity for future commercial and residential development in the area.

The project will be done in four phases. Airport Executive Director Cameron Humphres says water should be flowing through the pipeline in about a year.
