Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood will be in Pierre Wednesday to celebrate the grand opening of the newly-expanded River Cities Public Transit facility.
Sen. Tim Johnson says the event will highlight the importance of public transit for rural communities in South Dakota and throughout the country.
The facility was recently expanded with million in federal funds. It includes a new dispatch center, offices, and a bus garage.
